What is a Bloard Anyway?
Bloard = Blog + Board.
When we sat down to come up with names for this new module it was either Bloard or Borg. We figured that Bloard would be best as Borg is really already taken.
So what is a Bloard? A Bloard is a combination of a Blog that is organized in a hierarchal view much like a Bulletin Board is. The Bloard feature is a teaching aid for teachers to use along with their students to allow for communication beyond the classroom to happen. Teachers may use the Bloard feature along with their normal in-class teaching.
